Rotary International was founded in 1905 in Chicago for business and community leaders to come together for the betterment of their community. The Wellsboro club was founded in 1925.

Through fund raising efforts and membership dues, the club raises funds to support charitable causes. We also participate in volunteer work to help our local community and, at times support national and international cause.

Rotary is involved in many projects throughout the year including supporting the Pennsylvania Laurel Festival, road clean-up and hosting an annual dinner and holiday gift program for foster children. We also recognize outstanding high school students each month during the school year, support an annual essay contest and award an annual scholarship. In addition to our regular recurring causes, we also look for causes to support financially and try to find volunteer opportunities. Annual chicken barbecues and raffles help to support our efforts.

Learn more about becoming a member of the club by attending a meeting, held every Thursday at Noon at Timeless Destination
